Dargaz is a city and capital of Dargaz County, in Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran.
Dargz and Zarrineh Kouh seismic project is located in the strategic and geologically complex area on the border of Iran and Turkmenistan and can solve the major problems of energy supply in the northeast region if the result is achieved. The seismic sources in this project are a combination of explosive shots and vibrator. This project contain 12 2D line. Due to the complex geology and very rough topography of this area and the lack of energy penetration due to high absorption in the surface layers (because weathering zone is very thick (at least 40 m) and contain unconsolidated sediment with high porosity), harvesting and processing of this area faced many challenges that the experts of this company were able to overcome these problems due to their high experience and skill.
