Gosht 2D Seismic Project (Sistan and Baluchistan Province, South East of Iran) – Complete
Gosht, is a city in and the capital of Central District, in Saravan County, Sistan and Baluchistan Province, Iran.
The aim of Gosht project was identification of geological features such as main fault in that area due to explore the deep water aquifer.
In the first step after review previous studies in this area (Magneto-telluric study) and geological formation with focus on outcrops the initial design was perform and 2 seismic line (40 km) perpendicular on main geological structure was designed with explosive source.
As seen in some picture from study area that shown in below, project area was very complicated geology and very rough topography so drilling progress for shooting was facing with big challenges.
